#14NTCRealTalk

New technologies have transformed how individuals and organizations build power and create change - and as much as it gets hyped, not always for the better. In this session we will get real about the challenges that new digital tools create for organizing, proven strategies for overcoming them, and ideas for how campaigns must adapt to a new landscape for social change.  Panelists will share their experiences working with 350.org, Advocates for Youth, The Sierra Club, MoveOn, and more! This session is for nonprofit staff and campaigners looking to implement successful advocacy campaigns that can scale.

Takeaways: 1) Proven strategies for overcoming the challenges new technologies create for organizing; 2) Examples of when new digital tools will and won’t support your advocacy campaigns; 3) Ideas for how to undertake effective long term organizing in this new world of organizing.
