She also worked as an organizer for the Sunlight Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to increasing transparency government, where she blogged extensively at the local and state level.  She served as the social media producer for the Good Fight, formerly the Flaming Sword of Justice,  a daily podcast centered around progressive politics and affiliated with MoveOn.org.

Her writing on race, politics, and culture has appeared at the Atlantic, the Huffington Post, Jezebel, BuzzFeed, the Aerogram, DCentric, Racialicious and several other outlets.
